Hi,

I’m Joan, the artist behind Ink About It Studios.

I help people feel more themselves through fine-line tattooing, storytelling through ink, and the kind of artistry that comes from lived experience, not just technique.

I didn’t arrive in this world as an artist with everything figured out. My journey has been a slow, brave unraveling — the kind where you shed old versions of yourself and step into something truer, even when it’s messy. I’ve rebuilt myself more than once, followed the call to create even when it didn’t make sense on paper, and trusted that the person I was becoming deserved a life that felt aligned. I arrived here through a "little" chaos, a lot of heart, plenty of reinvention, and a lifelong fascination with how a single mark—on skin or in life—can change the way we move through the world.

Art has been my language since childhood, but becoming a tattoo artist wasn’t just a career shift. It was a homecoming. A remembering. A reclaiming of the parts of me that always wanted to create something that lasts, something that matters.

In my studio, every service is more than a session. It’s a conversation, an experience, a collaboration.
Whether I’m translating a memory into linework, tattooing a story onto skin, or guiding someone through their first piece, my job is to help you feel seen. Not just decorated. Not just improved. Seen — as you are, and as you’re becoming.

I believe in:

  • Art with intention

  • Technique with heart

  • Expression that feels like you

  • Spaces where people can breathe, soften, and feel safe to be real

I’ve even torn down walls—literally. When I took over my space, I redesigned it from the ground up to feel calm, homey, and deeply intentional. Soft textures, warm lighting, an open flow… every detail is meant to help you settle in and exhale.

I bring structure and precision when it matters, and a little cheeky humor when it helps (which is often). I take my craft seriously — but not myself. Life’s too short to be stiff while holding a tattoo machine.

Ink About It Studios is my love letter to growth, identity, and the stories we choose to carry.

And if you’re here reading this, there’s a good chance you’re ready for your next chapter too.

Welcome in. Let’s create something meaningful together.
